Day 1 begins with a gathering at Green Gulch Farm for members of Branching Streams, a network of Dharma centers in the tradition of Suzuki Roshi. The agenda and topics of the morning meeting are limited to Branching Streams members, but guests are welcome as observers, and all are welcome to join us for lunch and the afternoon sessions. In the evening, we are offering a sit-down dinner at Greens specially created by Executive Chef Annie Somerville. Greens will be closed to serve only this evening's unique celebration. (Dinner at Greens: Cost: $75.00, to register & pay, contact email@example.com)
Day 2 starts at City Center with the Saturday morning program. The morning dharma event is titled "Why Did Suzuki Roshi Come to America?" After lunch, we will have storytelling with Masters of Ceremonies David Chadwick and Charlie Pokorny. Charlie will open the storytelling event with a performance of an original skit.
On Day 3, we will meet at Green Gulch Farm for the Sunday program. The morning dharma event is titled " APPROPRIATE RESPONSE: The Teaching of a Lifetime." In the afternoon, GGF will host a performance of "MONKEY: The Quest to the West," based on a novel written from an ancient Chinese folktale of a monk sent by the emperor to retrieve Buddhist scriptures from India.
